mt55 is a line of headgear (beret and visor): a new weave to wear. The collection becomes the interpreter and spokesman of craft values, telling of a spontaneous lightness. The lightness of the self, in abandoning oneself to the meditative state of the artisan gesture, which is emptied of external encumbrances, remaining in listening to one's own actions, finding its expression in a precise and punctual weave, at the same time elegant and light. The formal lightness, of a structure emptied of any support, of any superfluous material, which becomes a load-bearing and at the same time decorative element, thanks to the dense weave obtained. The material lightness, due to the use of leather yarn, as the sole and exclusive protagonist, which allows one to look at a continuous cycle of existence and duration of the product. Each carefully crafted artefact intimately preserves a deep bond with its maker, becoming a unique piece of interwoven emotions.

Atelier Nuanda was founded in Bologna in 2021. After a long experience in important companies in the textile sector, Cecilia Rinaldi founded the atelier with an unconventional design vision. A meeting place between design and craftsmanship, where the passion for materials, their changing and becoming, gives life to projects strongly permeated by the cultural traditions from which they originate. After an interesting experience as Art Director of Giacobazzi, excellence in the craftsmanship of wood coverings, since 2023, the atelier has been investigating new working techniques, for the realisation of self-made handicrafts, in the textile field. The protagonist of this research is leather. Continuous studies and experimentation, combined with learning knitting techniques and its weaving patterns, have led to the definition of a new leather working process. Thanks to the unceasing collaboration with local craftsmen, Atelier Nuanda creates and produces objects and accessories of great cultural value, combining functionality and tradition.
