micare obscuro is a collection of unique pieces in balance between aesthetics and functionality Every phenomenon, every manifestation in our existence is revealed through polarities: lightness-gravity, positive-negative, delicacy-asperity, light-darkness, solid-fluctuant (...). In 'micare obscuro', the interaction between the two materials - eclisseo silver black and Limoges porcelain - observed in their internal and external characteristics, are handcrafted to generate a sense of solid-flow. As if to say: one’s truth is intimately connected to the truth of the other. As bright light (micare) shines and fecundates darkness (obscuro) and vice versa. Although Limoges porcelain and granite - eclipse silver black - are objectively different materials considering their nature, origin, process and expression, the idea is to explore their polarity and sense of non-duality. As an ocean wind reaches the mountain.

Dora Stanczel and Pietre Trovanti, in the authenticity of their design and aesthetic directions, meet in 'micare obscuro' (the work is presented for the first time at the LCDF). Together they share the desire to explore and reveal the material-symbolic qualities of the two elements, Limoges porcelain and silver black eclisseo, through similarities and diversities, to activate a creative process of interdependence. This singular encounter between the two materials unites Dora Stanczel, artist, and Tiziana Scaciga, creator of the Pietre Trovanti Project, who live and work in two very different territories: the ocean and the mountains. La Rochelle, France and Val d'Ossola in Piedmont, Italy.
