Serra Bassa
Brake lamp is a light sculpture with an industrial and minimalist style. Its corrugated form allows the piece to perform as a self-standing floor lamp with a height of 200cm. Its shell is made from a pressed aluminium sheet, brushed and then polished. The light is derived from three distinct coloured led strips, white, pink and red, inspired by the movie Paris, Texas. The folds of the metal allow the light to be reflected and the glare to be diverted in order to generate a prismatic effect. A series of light patterns emerge from within and are projected onto its surroundings. The lamp uses its light to generate a sensorial feeling of a gateway to another time and place.
